[Abstract]

ObjectiveColorectal cancer is the malignant tumor of digestive tract with the high morbility, and the major treatment of which is surgical operation. Traditional laparotomy technique is mature,while has some shortcomings, such as large operational wound and long length of stay, so the more microinvasive and effective operative approach should be searched. The first laparoscopic cholecystectomy was performed by Phillipe Mouret on March, 1987. Since then, it was widely used in the clinical practice for its prominent advantages, such as smaller trauma, milder pain, less abdominal interference, less complication, more rapid rehabilitation and shorter length of stay. At present, laparoscopic surgery has been used in resection of colorectal cancer, and the security and validity were approved. However, the elevated intra-abdominal pressure, increased peripheral resistance and the more secretion of vasopressin and catecholamine caused by CO2 pneumoperitoneum would aggravate stress reaction of the patients. Therefore, the creditability of the opinion that laparoscopic colectomy could lead to less wound than laparo- colectomy should be verificated, and the evaluating criteria should be identified also.
