It?s a rainy day and I?ve run out of things to do at home. I was digging through old things in the attic when I came across some board games. After I?ve dusted off the boxes, I saw that there is a chess set and other strategy board games. I?ve never played chess before so I thought that this was a good time to learn more about the game. I went online and looked up the rules of chess. I read about the function of each chess piece and what moves I?m allowed to make. I also tried to read about the different strategies to use but it will take some time for me to understand them.

After reading about chess, I started to look up other board games. There are family board games that are appropriate for all ages. Playing board games seem like a fun group activity so I called some of my friends over to my house to try the board games I found. We decided to play one of the board games called Cluedo and started off by reading the instruction manuals to learn the rules. We started one game and then another until we realized that it was almost dinnertime. I never knew that playing board games could be a fun way to spend time with friends.
